What is it used for?

Calendula macerated oil has an emollient, soothing, calming, anti-inflammatory and healing action on sensitive or irritated skin.

All properties that can help us in case of:

• Acne and pimples: calendula oil has a strong drying effect on pimples and oily skin and regenerates the skin tissue;
• Diaper rash: calendula oil is one of the most suitable natural remedies for sensitive and delicate skin, like those of children. For its anti-inflammatory and healing action it is very useful especially in case of irritation and diaper rash;
• Chilblain: calendula oil is an excellent remedy against chilblains, both of hands and feet, it is also very useful to prevent them, if used continuously at the beginning of the cold season, and throughout the winter;

What is it useful for?

Functional substances:

Calendula oil: Calendula oil has a rich chemical composition, determined both by the substances present in the vegetable oil used for maceration, and by the substances contained in the calendula flowers extracted from it (triterpenes, carotenoids, flavonoids); the presence of these active substances gives calendula oil emollient, cicatrizing, soothing and anti-inflammatory properties. Calendula oil is particularly useful to restore the normal physiological conditions of the skin (e.g. in case of dry and chapped skin, sensitive and reactive skin). Used in products dedicated to children, calendula oil is useful to counteract and prevent diaper irritations. Chamomile water: The distilled chamomile water is obtained from the distillation of the essential oil and has astringent, rebalancing, anti-inflammatory and soothing properties.

Bisabolol: Functional substance very valuable for its anti-inflammatory, softening, soothing and for its extreme tolerability. Rice bran oil: The rice bran oil, both for the content of polyunsaturated fatty acids and for the presence of a high unsaponifiable fraction, has excellent emollient and restorative properties. It is therefore particularly suitable for the formulation of cosmetics for dry skin, in emollient and regenerating products and in products dedicated to children.

Almond oil: The sweet almond oil, thanks to its composition, integrates very well with the hydrolipidic film, helping to prevent the evaporation of the cutaneous water. It therefore presents moisturizing, nourishing, elasticizing, emollient and soothing properties.

Shea Butter: Shea butter is a fatty substance of vegetable origin composed of a high fraction of triglycerides, responsible for the emollient, moisturizing and regenerating properties of the skin barrier. Thanks to the presence of a high percentage of unsaponifiable fraction, rich in terpene alcohols and in a smaller quantity of phytosterols, it is a precious natural ingredient able to give the skin compactness and elasticity. Shea butter also contains tocopherols (vitamin E), which act as natural antioxidants.

Sunflower oil: Vegetable oil rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids and vitamins with antioxidant action. It interacts very well with the lipid fraction of the film that naturally covers our skin, helping to maintain a proper hydration and to keep it soft and protected.

Use Advice

Apply 2 or more times a day with a light massage until absorbed.
