Bee pollen in dried granules, produced by our company in the Marche region (Italy). The product is natural, has no preservatives of any kind and the bees are not treated with antibiotics. Bee pollen is considered a real nutrient concentrate.

  • Produced by our Company!
  • Ingredients: Bee Pollen in granules
  • Pack of 120g and 1kg

Description

Pollen derives its name from the Latin pollen , meaning fine flour. Collected by bees when they feed on the flowers, the pollen is stored in the form of pellets in the cells of the hive near the brood where it will then serve as food for the larvae and allow the colony to reproduce. It's so important to the lives of workers that it's sometimes called "bee bread"! The peculiarity of pollen is that it is an important source of proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins and mineral salts, not only for bees, but also for humans.

Our pollen is produced by bees not treated with antibiotics and bred in our territory, in the Marche region. This is millefiori pollen, as it is obtained from a multitude of different flowers, from which the so variable color of the granules derives.

To guarantee its maintenance at room temperature, our pollen is dried at low temperatures (<43°) so as to keep its precious nutrients and active ingredients unaltered.

Usage tips

It can be dissolved in warm (not boiling) water, or it can be taken with honey.

Maca, botanical name Lepidium meyenii, is a tuber (very similar to our turnips) that grows in the Peruvian Andes at over 3,700 m above sea level. In these extreme places, characterized by considerable temperature variations between day and night, this plant has developed characteristics that make it able to draw the maximum nutrients from the soil, forfeiting substances indispensable for our body.

The maca root is in fact rich in essential amino acids (10.2%), mineral salts (including calcium, iron, selenium, iodine, potassium, copper and zinc), vitamins (vitamin E, vitamin A, vitamin C and above all vitamins of group B), carbohydrates, fatty acids and fibres.

Packaging

Description

Spirulina is a blue-green micro algae that grows spontaneously in particular fresh lakes with alkaline waters, present in certain tropical areas of the planet, such as Lake Texcoco in the Mexican plateau and Lake Chad, located in central-northern Africa. The Aztecs had already made extensive use of it for thousands of years as a food supplement. Westerners instead discovered it for the first time about 500 years ago, when the Spanish conquerors, who had recently landed in Central America, saw the Aztec natives spreading tightly woven nets on the surface of the lake, and then pulling up a greenish mush. This mush, which was none other than spirulina, was then dried in the sun and subsequently used for the preparation of highly nutritious focaccias.

Only several years later, in the mid-1900s, did scientists shed light on the numerous nutritional properties hidden inside spirulina.

Spirulina contains:

  • Between 60 and 65% Protein;
  • All essential amino acids (including arginine and histidine essential for infant growth);
  • Carbohydrates (highly digestible mucopolysaccharides);
  • Carotenoids (15 different types, including 20% beta-carotene);
  • Vitamin A, B vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B6 and B9), vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin K and biotin (Vitamin H).
  • Mineral salts including: magnesium, sodium, potassium, calcium, iron, manganese, copper, selenium and zinc;
  • Fatty acids (in particular linoleic and γ-linolenic acids);
  • Chlorophyll (3 times higher than in wheat and barley grass);
  • Phycocyanin (light blue pigments with marked antioxidant properties);
  • Vegetable fibres;
  • Glutamic acid;

Usage tips

In tablet form spirulina is very easy to take and you avoid the algae taste typical of this food, unwelcome to many people. The intake, like any other tablet, should be accompanied by a generous sip of still water at room temperature (not boiling and not frozen).

Who can take it? Spirulina can be taken at any age, both by children, adults and the elderly and can also be taken safely by pregnant and breastfeeding women.

Warnings

Keep in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Keep out of reach of children.
