Hawthorn is a perennial plant of the Rosaceae family. It is a thorny and bushy shrub that can reach 5 m of height, very common in Italy.
In traditional medicine, hawthorn is considered the "plant of the heart" for its well-known cardioprotective and tonic activity of the circulatory system. The flowers and leaves of this plant have always been used for the treatment of numerous cardiovascular disorders.
Infusion: take a teaspoon of dried Hawthorn flowers per cup of water. Bring the water to a boil, then turn off and pour over the dried flowers, make it steep for 10 minutes. Strain off the herbs and serve.
Drink 2 to 4 cups of hawthorn tea each day.
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool and dry place.
