Echinacea is a small perennial plant native to North America and was discovered in the past by the American Indians, the so-called "red skin", which used it to fight infections, fever and snake bites.
Even in our traditional medicine, echinacea is recognized as an effective remedy to stimulate the body's immune system, especially before the arrival of the cold season.
Decoction. Since it is used the root, a particularly hard and woody part of the plant, for the extraction of Echinacea active ingredients we must make a decoction.
To prepare the decoction, pour a teaspoon of Echinacea root in cold water, light the fire and bring to a boil. Boil a few minutes and turn off the heat. Cover and leave to infuse for 10 minutes. Filter the infusion and serve.
Drink from 2 to maximum 4 cups a day.
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool and dry place.
