Description

Peppermint is a herbaceous plant of the Labiate family .

It is distinguished from other types of mint above all by the shape of the leaves, ovals of a bright green color which, if rubbed, give off a strong aroma. The aromatic properties of mint are given by its essential oils present in greater quantities right in the leaves.

Our mint plants are grown in Italy, on our land in Fermo, with 100% natural farming techniques, without the use of pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers, in total respect for the environment and people.

The harvesting of the leaves takes place in late spring and summer. The leaves are harvested by hand and subsequently dried at low temperatures (<43°), in order to maintain the aroma and organoleptic properties of the plant unaltered.

Finally the peppermint leaves are shredded and bagged. The peppermint tea is now ready to be enjoyed. Also excellent in combination with black tea, green tea, or other herbs, to which it will give a unique, refreshing and thirst-quenching aroma.

Usage tips

Infusion : it is prepared by pouring a teaspoon of mint into boiling water (250 ml, about a cup), cover and leave to infuse for 5-10 minutes. Filter and drink the infusion.

It is important, immediately after pouring the mint into the boiling water, to cover it with a saucer or a lid to prevent the essential oils from evaporating.
