Description

Alfalfa , Latin name Medicago sativa , also known by the name of Alpha alpha, by most people is considered only a forage herb, good for feeding animals .

In reality, it is also a precious vegetable for humans, as it is rich in many nutrients.

Our farm supplies a product of the highest quality, obtained from Alfa alfa plants of our own cultivation, grown in an absolutely natural way, on our land in Fermo (Italy), in the open countryside. For the cultivation of alfalfa (as well as for any other plant we cultivate) we do not use any type of pesticide, herbicide, or chemical fertilizer.

To obtain a high concentration of nutrients, we harvest the alfalfa shortly before flowering, which usually occurs in May.

Once harvested, the plant is dried at low temperatures, through the use of tunnels with ventilation and controlled temperatures, which never exceed 43°. Once dried, Alfalfa is reduced to powder.

Alfalfa in powder can be used for the preparation of decoctions and herbal teas, or even better as an addition to food (read the tips for use below).

Usage tips

Alfalfa powder can be taken by mixing one tablespoon a day into smoothies, drinks, yogurt, sprinkled on cereals, or other foods of your liking.
