Matricaria chamomile from our own cultivation, grown in a 100% natural way on our land in Fermo, in the open countryside. The flower heads of Chamomile are picked by hand and dried at low temperatures.

Description
The common chamomile ( Matricaria chamomilla L. ) is an annual herbaceous plant belonging to the Asteraceae family. The species is widespread in Europe and Asia and is also naturalized in other continents. It grows spontaneously in meadows and in the open countryside and for many farmers it is considered as an infested weed.
Our farm cultivates common Chamomile on its own land, located outdoors in the countryside of Fermo, Italy. The cultivation is 100% natural, as no pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers or other chemical products are used. The harvest takes place during the flowering period, between May and July, when the flower heads are still mostly closed.
In order to keep all the properties of the flower intact, the drying is done in the shade and at low temperatures using special tunnels with ventilation and controlled temperature.
Usage tips
Infusion . Leave to infuse in boiling water for 5 minutes, then filter and drink while still hot.
To prepare the herbal tea, a teaspoon of dried flower heads is used in a cup of water.
