Main uses of Ylang Ylang essential oil
- Fatigue : The aroma of this essential oil is known for its unique invigorating properties. Inhaling its scent can help invigorate both the mind and body.
- Aphrodisiac : In Asia, where it is widely used, it is considered a powerful aphrodisiac. It is used primarily in massages, added to massage oils and creams, to stimulate the senses and increase libido.
- Fragile hair : with just one drop added to your normal dose of shampoo, you will take care of your hair, strengthening it and slowing down hair loss.
- Stretch marks : skin application (always diluted in a vegetable oil, oleolite, or cream) helps fight stretch marks.
- Cardiac relaxant : It is known in aromatherapy for its calming, hypotensive, and nervous system-balancing properties. It is commonly used as an inhalation, or diluted in the bath, as a natural remedy for minor heart problems such as palpitations, tachycardia, and hypertension.
Ways of use
- Diffusion in the environment : add 6 to 10 drops to the water in a diffuser/vaporizer for the environment, or in the radiator tray to purify the air, promote breathing and combat bad odors.
- Skin use : Ylang Ylang essential oil should never be used pure on the skin, but should be diluted in a fatty substance, such as vegetable oils (olive oil, sunflower oil, almond oil, etc.), oleolites, or creams. When mixed with either vegetable oil (or cream), the recommended dilution is: 4 drops per tablespoon of vegetable oil/cream for children, and 6-7 drops of essential oil per tablespoon of vegetable oil/cream for adults.
-
Ingestion : Erbe di Mauro's Ylag Ylang essential oil is certified for food use, so it can also be ingested. Add one drop to a sugar cube, a teaspoon of honey, or, better yet, a teaspoon of vegetable oil (such as coconut or olive oil). Dosages should never exceed 2 drops at a time.
NB : Essential oils for internal use can interfere with many medications. Therefore, if you are taking any medications, consult a healthcare professional before taking essential oils.

Never apply to eyes. Store in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
All essential oils naturally contain potentially allergenic molecules such as cinnamaldehyde, citronellol, eugenol, citral, coumarin, limonene, linalool, geraniol, etc., which can therefore trigger allergic reactions. For this reason, we recommend testing them before use by applying 1 drop dissolved in 30 ml of olive oil (or other vegetable oil) to the skin of the forearm and waiting 48 hours to see if any allergies develop.
