Powdered ginger obtained from the rhizome of the Zingiber officinale plant, dried at low temperatures and pulverized. Ginger is a spice widely used throughout the East, the use of which in recent years has also spread to Europe and America. It has a pungent, almost spicy taste, it can be used both as a cooking spice and as a herbal tea to drink.
Ginger is a perennial herbaceous plant of the Zingiberaceae family and is one of the most used plants in China and in general throughout the Orient as a spice for numerous dishes, as well as a key ingredient of the millenary Traditional Chinese Medicine.
The rhizome of ginger is used, both fresh and dried, to spice up practically any dish.
Dried ginger is ideal in the kitchen as a flavoring condiment, both for sweet and savory recipes (we suggest it, for example, to give a particular aroma and taste to jams, creams, fresh or candied fruit, but also baked desserts), liqueurs (in some Anglo-Saxon countries it is even used in addition to some types of beer) or ice cream.
It also goes well with legumes, omelettes and raw salads.
Furthermore, herbal tea is excellent, both drunk alone and in combination with other herbs. For example, the combination of ginger, thyme and licorice is excellent, which we recommend drinking especially during the cold season.
Powdered ginger can be used to flavor dishes, such as salads, soups, soups , etc. Or for the preparation of herbal teas .
To prepare the herbal tea: a teaspoon of powdered ginger, to be infused in a cup of boiling water for at least 10 minutes. Subsequently, everything is filtered and drunk.
